HGAC Wing 1/144 WIP-7

Almost! 

These are all thats left. 2 cracked parts to fix and 2 wings to paint white. I'm thinking the gun should be silver. The tip and the barrel. Or maybe gold? I dunno. 

Also, I plan to remove the forearms and paint a section red.

The lower section should be red.

I need to get some alcohol to wipe off that shitty marker 'weathering'. If you notice the left hand, the white is cracked too... So I'll have to fix that.

I love the new primers, they look good, they prime well, but smell.. A bit less than fantastic

Smell comparison: 

DPI>Krylon primer>Mr. Hobby surfacer>Topcoat

Even tho dpi is super toxic, I kinda like the smell of it (im gonna die soon)

Trying it on bright colored parts:

Now I can paint my pinkie pie parts completely white!

And so I did.

Now the upper body of Wing is finally completed! :D 

Except the arms, I need to buy more red paint.

HGAC Wing 1/144 WIP-5

Hey! So I forgot to tell you my tools I use, so im gonna do it now. It's still an incomplete set, but i'm working on it ^^

I still need stuff like a hobby knife, more blutac and some masking tape.

Now for the 'good' stuff.

My progress.

All of these were actually painted with apparently toxic lacquer paint, even the white! I breathed in so much of that stuff too..

I painted the shoulders red, if you noticed as well. My red paint has been being a bitch lately, cracking up and shooting water instead of red. Curse you DPI. Or maybe It's just the weather.

So I need to fix that. Somehow. 

And I've been at a hotel for the past 2 days! 

Sneezing my hat off and playing some offline multiplayer (WiFi costs 25 bucks per GB)

HGAC Wing 1/144 WIP-4

It's been a while! And I've been busy!

Look at how much progress I've made! Just kidding.

Well i still haven't got a chance to buy the grey primer and red paint, so I couldn't do much. In this picture, his forearms are missing cos they're meant to be red.

Also I worked on the leg today.

Just one. And some stylish "inner frame". I'm quite impressed by the effort made in engineering it, seeing as to how this is only a HG kit. Is this new? I can't tell. I remember how older HG kits such as the seed and 00 had only pc joints and not much else. Look at the progress! I wish I had time to do up the inner frame in a nice light shade of grey. Or maybe I will? I'm not sure, I still have a Nu in my closet.

Anyways I'm waiting to get a new table from Ikea. I "borrowed" my white work "bench" from my (former) school. They're so "kind".

Finishing today off with a nice WIP compilation shot.

I might be making a sandwich post this week and a peculiar cookie that a friend wanted me to try baking. With a microwave ._.

If I have time and am not distracted by CoD, I might even redo the shoddy layout of this blog and maybe even head to the gym as I planned 6 months ago ^^

I wonder if anyone reads this blog other than my brother and I. But it doesn't matter to me :D

HGAC Wing 1/144 WIP-3

Well I got up eariler today to finish my chores. Got to paint the head. Haven't bought the grey primer yet so I couldn't paint the v-fin, the 'Heart' and chest vents.

"Its supposed to be dark red"

Yup. I bought the wrong red :/

So I guess it'll have to be bright red now. You have no idea how hard it was to snap those painted parts together without damaging the paintjob..

I had some time to work on sanding the arms but I wasn't quick enough to paint them before the rain came~ and never ceased.

HGAC Wing 1/144 WIP-2

The weather. I woke up this morning with fine sunshine in my face, birds and all chirping about their nests. What I beautiful day right? What else was I greeted by? Laundry. Haha okay. At least the rest of the day would be better~ I mean, all my friends are out enjoying their time together, while others work to earn some cash to spend or save. Me? All I wanted was time out. Just for a week, doing the things I WANT to do. Oh you want to know what happened the rest of the day? After doing the laundry I thought I could find time to patch up the dents from yesterday. Nope. The weather seemed to enjoy tormenting me. Bright sunshine when im doing the things I loathe. Rain when im doing what I love. Paint didnt come out right. I dont even want to take pictures today.
What's more you ask? Well, while I was trying to remove the microscopic faceplate from the runner, it broke. Thankfully, nothing cannot be solved without a little superglue. Hopefully the sun will shine for me tomorrow. Hopefully.

HGAC Wing 1/144 WIP-1

It was all perfect. As i readied my arsenal of paints

And set up my paint booth

My first HG custom kit! 

My intentions were to paint it similar to the Wing Gundam in Build Fighters that Sei had watched in the Gunpla Battle WC Ad.

I went ahead and primed the red and yellow parts~ Priming was fantastic, no issues whatsoever, it was smooth and there were only a few hiccups along the way. 

Then it hit me~ I forgot to widen the joints for easy "snap fitting"  AHH ><

Horrible mistake! 

Mistake number 2? I forgot the tuitorial I watched on 'seam line removal' Where one would have to cement the parts together BEFORE SANDING AND PRIMING THE PART. 

Hai. Bullocks.

As I waited for the paint to dry, I had a quickie match of Ghosts (still no xbox live D:) but the bots now AT LEAST pose a DECENT challenge- I mean they actually dont aimbot the fuck out- plus they have actuall tactics.

After what seemed like an eternity, I finally got to paint.

And it was beautiful :'D truly magnificent- bravo, props, hooray, joy! 

Smooth as silk. 

Except for one little bastarrrrd~

Apparently you HAVE to prime red with gray/black ): 

Now im stuck with PINK instead of white.

Although I love pink, I dont think Wing would.

Little did I know...

Time for topcoat! I gleefully grabbed my can of topcoat neglecting its 2 hour setting time. 

It looked delectable! The matte finish- awesome!

Then the hyper excited first time painter immediately rushed into the construction.

Mistake 3!

The topcoat didnt set, and the paint clogged up the joint connectors making it virtually impossible to get the parts joint. He yanked hard.

Mistake 4. The unset topcoat scratched, along with paint.

His heart broke. 

Sad story. I know.

So now, I have not choice BUT to do some 'battle damage'. I'll figure it out. Just not now. Too frustrated. Bah.

It is over at long last!

Liberation! It's finally the end! Immediately after the MCQs I went to buy spray paints. Awesome stuff they have at Bras Besah. Not progressing at all with my sandwiches, all I have are cold cuts of ham and some wholemeal buns, not even toasted. But they'll have to do..

 The 4 paints i bought : Red, Flat White, Primer, and Top Coat (Matte). I have a stache of old gunpla parts from my childhood and what better than to practice my painting skills. After inhaling tonnes of noxious fumes i finally came up with something that looked likeeeeee this

Tadaaaaa!

I painted that white :D

I shall embark on my custom HGAC Wing tomorrow! And btw. CoD ghosts is pretty fun ^^
